License plates as carry-on.

oh, im probably missing something. a car CAN have the same plates here forever. now i think about it i guess paige was figuring on paying for the registration in his home state, collecting the plates and then flying over to the other state and affixing them because it didnt have rego there...
i guess i never paid that question much heed before because id be too scared to buy a car, unregistered in another state. id be too scared of something dodgy going on. the nearest i came to that is paying for a car when i was in vancouver that was 30 minutes away by train, going to the insurance office and picking up the plates and going back to pick it up. that was scary enough for me because the state i come from the vehicle HAS to be inspected before they give you plates...
