Donkey Kong Upgrading Problem

I have a 2board DK and the original Sanyo monitor was dying so I tried to follow in the footsteps of Markevp in using a VisionPro 19in and the the DK conversion adapter with integrated power supply (www.arcadeshop.com). I hooked up the PS, attached the adapter, used the original wiring harness for the control panel and coinbox, used a rainbow cable to connect the two PCB, powered it up.....and nothing. No video, no sound, nothing. Is there something I am missing? It looks as if the PCB is not getting any power but I don't know. The board was working great before this monitor upgrading.

Please help!

From your pictures, you still have the wires from the old power supply connected to the board (next to the coin and counter connectors).  The first thing I would try is disconnecting that one plug from the old power supply since all the power for the board is now coming from the switching power supply through the DK to Jamma adapter.

If that doesn't work, take a volt meter and make sure you are getting the proper 12v, +5v, and -5v voltages to the board.

In any case, on my DK boards, the only thing I have hooked directly into it is the coin mech buttons.  Everything else is going through the DK to Jamma adapter.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Are there another connections to the monitor than from the adapter to the 6pin (in the upper right of the picture below)?

The adapter wiring harness came with two purple wires that I spliced with the cabinet speaker.

Yep, that one connector is the only thing that goes to the monitor.

My wiring harness did not have any additional wires to connect the control panel or coin box. Do I have the wrong wiring harness? I am now assuming there should be a separate connection to the CP from the adapter.

Speaking of wiring harness, where did you get your control panel wiring harness (to connect the joystick and buttons to the pcb)?
