Best way to mount 19" LCD TFT?

kvncooper:

Hey guys,

For my first cab project I am going to use LCD TFT 19". I am using the UAII plans for the cabinet (no doubt I will have to make some slight alterations to fit the 19" TFT.)

What would be the best way to mount the LCD?

Thanks guys.

I assume it has a stand on it? You can remove the stand and use the bolt pattern for the stand to mount it.

Here is a pic of my 17" LCD

The 4 bolts you see in the picture is what held the stand on.

BobA:

If your monitor does not have a stand mounted with screws they sometimes have a vesa mount on the back with 4 screws mounted in a 3 inch square.   Remove these screws and use the screw threads to mount your LCD to to a back board with longer screws.

I've seen people use pieces of aluminum as straps to hold the lcd in place. I liked that one the best for when you can't bolt directly.
