Love the layout.   Makes good use of the tears to blend right into the side background color.

I like the colors but I am colorblind (RG) so don't let that influence you.

Very nice..but whats your plan?
Plexi?
I cut my plexi yesterday but not too happy with finishing washers on the sides but maybe I should paint those too.
Are you just goin to print on self adhesive then stick it on the sides?  ???
Just wondering ;D.

Going to Kinkos and have them print it on glossy paper.  Then apply some stcky spray on stuff to the back.  I might go over the case with a sealant for added protected when done.  Here is another side art piece/marquee I had printed the same way and it turned out great.

Nope, all were scans or small images I found online and cleaned with Photoshop. For example here is original image of Wolverine I started with today:

http://www.pchelplive.com/dinos/Wizard-96-Cover-2.jpg

I just finished a few minutes ago and the final image is 25x27.5 inches - 191MB at 300dpi and looks better than the original small art.  I dont think I will be posting the finished image  ;D for the obvious reasons.

The final Magneto image above prints at 54.1 x 83.6 inches.

Hey DinoRoger,

How hard was it too clean up the images?

Basically, I want to know what would be easier to do, redraw
with Illustrator as a vector images or clean up the jpg.
FYI, I am not very skilled with Photoshop or Illustrator

It all depends on the original image quality.  Try blowing it up first and if it looks fixable do it.  If not try to grab the lines and re-color in Illustrator.  Every image has its own quirks.

After I think of a good name for this beast I will be designing a new marquee for it.  Yours looks great but half the fun for me is creating my own if you know what I mean.  The only good way to get the Wolverine image to you would be to snail mail it on CD.  This image is 191MB.  It is layered in Adobe Photoshop with the image, background, image background on its own layers for easy color changing.  I even made an extra square of the image background color at the top to take to the paint shop with ya.  if you can find a host I could upload it to I can do that sometime.

Could you post a 100% of part of the image so we can see what it looks like full size?

Hey I've had adobe photoshop 6.0 for quite awhile. I don't remeber where exactly I got it from,  ;D  but I know I dont have any documentation for it. Do you have any ideas where I can learn the in's & out's of it? I've played around with it alot but I know I'm not even scratchin the surface on what this software can do. Let me know O.K.?

Go hit a library and look for PS 6.0 "Classroom in a Book".  It's published by Adobe themselves and uses a series of tutorials to walk you through the program features.  Alternatively, you could check out the "Photoshop 6.0 Bible" by Deke McClelland.  There are .pdf copies of this one floating around on the net but without the included cd you can't do the tutorials so it's better as a reference tool.

PS is a difficult program to learn, but once you get a handle on it you'll use it every day.

It looks good on the sideart Dino- very nice example rendering in your first post.   I'm never very happy with interpolation in photoshop - the blurry qualities just get to me.   My suggestion, since you are probably leaving it in photoshop, is to accentuate the black outline around him - maybe add a 2-4 pixel stroke to just give it some sharp definition and to minimize the blur.

Pretty photo realistic huh. LOL  I did have some printed but not of this image and they ran about $25 each on high glossy material.

I've had quite a bit of artwork done at kinkos.  Just curious how the glossy paper would stand up to spray adhesive?  I'm just wondering if the color would run if the paper wasn't laminated first.  I've tried the color printing on the vinyl (scrim), don't go that route, the color ends up being very washed out.
