McNabb says...

I even heard an analyst about the time he was released say he has a deceptively weak arm for such a big guy. I was just like, WTF?? The dude can throw like 60 yards flat footed. If I was a GM and drafted leftwich in the first round, I'd be damn sure to give him the best offensive line and line coaches money could buy. You've seen what is happening in Pittsburg where leftwich's white counterpart Roethlisberger has been let loose with the passing game.
BTW, his accuracy was always good, it was his throwing motion that kills him. By the time he releases the ball, good defenses have already had over a second to move towards where he is releasing.
ChadTower:
The only way I can see him having a "weak arm" is what you're describing in the second paragraph - time from hand to ball is too long. Delivery takes way too long so even though the throw is very hard it is getting there late. He does do that. That's not a weak arm, though, it's a bad delivery.
The coaching in Jacksonville has been terrible since Coughlin left. The guy is actually a pretty good head coach but has been saddled with a bad organization around him in NY that undermines him and allows the players to run the asylum way too often.

--- Quote from: ChadTower on September 19, 2007, 01:10:53 pm ---What he probably doesn't realize is that the problem isn't his skin color, it's that he plays in Philly, where they boo everyone. They're the fans that nearly killed Santa Claus, aren't they?

I agree with tommy and chad, now if you'll excuse me I need to go boil my eyes in bleach water.

And don't you forget it. We're also famous for iceballing other teams as they leave the field.

--- Quote ---No, Philly is way harsh compared to other cities. They'll physically abuse their athletes, nevermind booing them. Hell they booed McNabb out of the building the day he was drafted.
--- End quote ---
You are completely wrong. I live outside Philly and I'm a huge Eagles fan. That was 30 fans from a Radio Station that did that. You have no clue.
--- Quote ---McNabb is bitching mostly because he bitches. To be fair to him, he is playing in a very unappreciative city that was against him from day 1 (because he wasn't Ricky Williams... ironic). It was pretty cold when the freakin' NAACP started making public statements about his not being "black enough". Dude has had it from all sides for different things his whole NFL career and now he has no idea what he is supposed to be and to whom.
--- End quote ---
Wrong once again. Stop watching ESPN highlights. The people are booing him because he is sucking out loud right now. If he wants praise he needs to start winning and playing like the QB he is supposed to be. Trust me on this.
Philly is so passionate about their football. The Eagles is "The Team" for the city. Forget the Phillies, Flyers and Sixers. We just want the Eagles to win.
