Has anyone ordered a cab from this company? They have some nice stuff, but it looks like everything is shipped from overseas. I emailed about shipping costs, but no reply yet. |

Dear Sir, We thank you very much for your e-mail. http://www.coinopexpress.com/products/machines/cabinets_only.html In order to save the shipping cost, our customer will import container load order for the game machine / cabinet, otherwise, the shipping cost will be too high for one cabinet. The total cost is around USD200 - USD400 per machine depends on the quantity to load into the container. On the other way, if you only can accept one or two pieces machines, sure that we can arrange for you. However, the shipping cost will be very much high, because of expensive local delivery, ocean charges, crating fee....., which will be over $800usd for LCL shipment from Japan warehouse to your country port. We offer 10 days guarantee period for machine order upon arrival. The shipping time is around 4 weeks from Japan to your country port. Kindly let us know if we could be of any further help at any time as we shall be more than happy to assist you in any way we can. We shall keep you posted with all our upcoming events. May we also invite you to visit our website www.coinopexpress.com for other game details. Have a very nice day! It can cost nearly $200 just to ship cabinets within the continental US (even more via route operator or personal shippers).. to get tbbk's Jack *cocktail* here is going to cost me @ $110 for crating and shipping, and that's just from airport to airport from St. Louis to Houston :o Besides, CoinOpExpress's prices aren't that great to begin with (except for the odd consignment -- they seem to do consignments).. and the good deals get blown by the shipping charges. |

If you just want a single Japanese cabinet it is much easier to try to find a local importer and buy from them. Most major cities probably have someone bringing them in. My local arcade has a bunch of Japanese import stuff, so there must be a local source for the stuff. Or, at the very least, you can find an importer in the same country (who is bringing the stuff in by the cointainer). That should keep shipping down to more reasonable prices ($100-$200). Of course, for that same money (price of Jap cab plus shipping), you could certainly get a pretty decent deluxe US cabinet from someone local. I personally think those huge monitor cabinets to be a bit difficult to play on myself. I have trouble seeing the entire screen on a 25" Ms. Pac-Galaga. I couldn't even imagine trying to play Galaga on a 39" sit at. They are fine for fighters and beat em ups, but older games that require you to watch the entire screen are harder with bigger monitors. I really like the 13" on my Time Pilot cocktail. I can watch that entire screen with no problem at all. ;D |
