KeyWiz Help Me Please

I have the KeyWiz Eco, and need some help.  I cut and stripped my 40-pin IDE and am ready to go, but am seriously confused by the instructions.  (yeah, it happens a lot at my age). :banghead:

I have 1 joystick and 5 buttons (1 player, 2 player and 3 action buttons).  Aside from Joystick 1 Up Down Left Right, does it matter what input I connect to what wire?  I can change it all using the KeyWiz Uploader 2 software, correct?

Thanks!

Correct.

Aside from that you just need to know what "key" you are physically wiring your button to in order to re-map it it to whatever you want to control. (ie A,B,C,D,E,F, etc)
Just be sure to map them to whatever corresponds to what you are trying to run. (ie MAME, etc)

Or did I just make this more confusing for ya.  :dizzy:

digitalmonkeyman:

Yes, (I am running MAME, not that you made it more confusing ;D)
I am running MAME.  So i connect the 7th wire, which is default 'O' to any button I choose, then when I run the software, I tell it to "re-map" "O" to the button I have hooked up.

Do I have this right?

digitalmonkeyman:

OK,
got it working...ALMOST.  Thanks for the help,
BUT
After I load the key inputs, save it and everything seems good, I hit 'launch' and get the following error
"Run-time error 384 A form can't be moved or sized while minimized or maximized."

Any ideas?

Thank you

digitalmonkeyman:

OK,
Downloaded the latest version of Visual Basic and it fixed that.  Now everything seems to work, it loads properly )no error messages) but once everything is up and running, none of my buttons or joysticks work.
any ideas?
Thanks :banghead:
