Donkey Kong question. Stuck on my restore.. Please Help..
Neilyboy:
I got the two board set. So is the edge connector used on an upright or only if I am to build my own harness is the edge connector used. If I am to use an edge connector and build a harness myself which one off of bob robert's site am I to purchase?
Thanks so much in advance guys.

Sounds like your easiest/cheapest route for power is stick with the original PS or just wire in a switcher, and switchers are usually $10 used or about $25 new.
For the rest of the wiring, you should just buy a harness used from ebay or someone, shouldn't set you back but a few bucks since harnesses just aren't worth much. You could use an original DK or DK junior which has several individual connectors for the boards, OR you could use a Mario Bros (and some other games) harness which just has one big edge connector (I'd probably go this route). I plugged 2 sets of DK junior PCB's into my Mario Bros edge connector and both boards worked fine and I could even play the game (except I could only move left right because the joystick is 2 way instead of 4 way).

Thats the problem though Wade I have been looking around for quite awhile now (couple of months) and watching for a DK harness or anything with the words nintendo and harness in them hehe.. and I cant locate anything.. If you know of any place selling a harness let me know!
