I'd like to thank our wives!

one2three:

Last Sunday my wife went with me to help pick up a couple free project cabs, even helped clean the garage for space.

Just this morning she went with me to check out a cab to purchase. She actually got up two hours early, followed me in the pickup with the intent of helping me load the cab, take it home and unload herself (with son's help) because I had to go to work. God I love my wife.

Turns out we didn't get the cab as it wasn't what was advertised.

knave:

Oh yes supportive wives are awesome.

It's funny I went to look at a cab for sale the other day and she didn't even bat an eye.

Amazing once you bring home a game that "they" like to play. (bust-a-move)

Turn's out I didn't get it.  Which is good because I don't have room.

waveryder:

Wouldnt know what to do with out the support of my other half.
She's put up with all my "crazy" working on 2 cabinets and 2 control panels. Now im after a 29" candy shes planning on giving me a room in the extension that I can fill with cabinets!!!! What a woman (She aint half bad a streetfighter 2 too!! ;))

I agree with Tomsurfnj. I hope everyone has a supportive spouse. ;)

ArtMAME:

I have been collecting/fixing/MAMEing for about 2 years.  The first half a dozen or so cabs that I got were not well received by my spouse, but she has grown to accept and even slightly support my crazy hobby.  She knows it keeps me out of trouble... and as long as I don't dip into the household expense account, she's cool with my purchases.

I have tried to get games that I thought she would like, but  I could not really get her to hang out for very long in the gameroom...

That is...until I got a Tempest machine... she really loves that machine... I would have never guessed...

Anyway, she is more supportive now that she has a game she likes.

ids:

count yourselves lucky, no support would be an understatement for me.  She has finally (after years of talking about it, and starting to buy parts) accepted it may happen one day.  That is, of course, after all the things SHE thinks need doing around the house.  Got lots of grief just for picking up a betson trackball - and that was only $10 (local surplus store, no shipping).

So if any of your wives are single, please pass along a phone number  ;)
