Energy Saving Mode instead of Screen Saver
« on: August 25, 2007, 05:07:39 pm »
Think the software is great! Running it on a Jiva POS Think Client. Small and compact will eventually build a cabinet to fit it inside. Was wondering if there is a way of blanking out the LCD display (Sleep Mode) instead of running a screen saver. Just want to save wear on the backlight of the display. Can it be done with the current settings in the software?

Unfortunately that's something I just don't know how to do.  You might be able to get the regular Wondows screensaver to do it if you are using WinCab.  Also, there may be energy-saving settings in the BIOS that may help.
