Get out your rocks & tomato's.  I'm looking for recommendations, comments, critique on the following images for my my marquee.  The cab is black, with green accents.

My vote goes with number 5 mate. Though number 6 comes in a close second.

Very nice  :notworthy:

Yes, well.. number 5 would get my vote, but the font seems a bit hard to read, especially the SINK part. With a bit different font (a compromise between the fonts on 5&6) that marquee would look great!

2 new options.  #7 is based on a conversation I had with a graphics artist friend at work.  #8 uses the Babylon font recommended by psychotech.  Votes?

Thanks.  I'm still looking for a cool font that works.

With the top set, i'd go with #4 minus the subtitle, with the 2nd set I'd go with number 1.  I'm not a fan of the metal to be honest.  Yes, it makes the text stand out.  No, it does not feel like it's very integrated with what's going on with the background elements.  Seems like layered effects for little purpose.  I always prefer a cleaner look, maybe I'm biased.

Oh well, that S really looks like a J, no help :( Think I'll use the Babylon on my jukeball project..

Of the two additional drafts I'd say go with number 7

I like 7 but it needs a bit more.

I like 7 more than my original vote. But I agree, it needs something... can't put my finger on it though.  :'(

However, how does the black work when it's back lit? Does it look like a silhouette?

I have an idea for the 'something missing' in option number 7.  Use one of the solar images from SOHO.  The color is about right and you can have some of the solar material flowing into the logo like a black hole.  If you don't want green there is also blue, yellow and red.  If you don't like thoes you can look at the STEREO site the images there have much more detail.

Number 7 looks very cool. Could maybe use something extra, but even without, I'd say it is the best of the bunch by a long shot.

I think I've got an image I like.  The something more is now "time" being "sucked" into the "time sink".  This is the symbology I was trying to convey with the title.

Thanks for the input.  Last chance comments before I send it to print?

Instead of having the watch fall into the time hole.  How about having the time hole pull off strands of the watch.

That sounds cool.  I'll give it a try.  Thanks.
