I love the Jam.  Modern World, in the City and That's Entertainment are fantastic.  What about The Clash - Joe Strummer did B.A.D. and some solo stuff, and Generation X brought us Billy Idol.

From GnR....

Slash put out a two solo disks before going into Velvet Revolver I have the first one but not the second.

Duff had a very rocking solo attempt titled "Believe in Me" his efforts were amazing since he attempted to play every instrument for each song with a few special guest accompanying him. If you ever get a chance to pick it up I highly recommend getting it. He has a second disk that never officially came out, but I did obtain a few tracks back during the Napster days. The disk was to be entitled "Beautiful Disease" The songs that I down;oaded were pretty cool. Shame it never was released.

Izzy has put out 7 solo disks. I only have the first two, but they are pretty good.

Add Axl to the list as he has always really just been a soloist, even in the early G n R days. "Guns N Roses is really just...Axl Rose and some other guys" -James Hetfield
Remember the Met/GnR tour, awesome, I was there.

Texas Mame...What no poll? -fu

If that were the case then how come GnR hasn't put out anything since everyone left. At least the 3 origional members of GnR that I mentioned have moved on and are still putting out music...

Axl is teh no talent suxors dooosh

Donkey_Kong:
He just recently did an album and tour with his new members.

Dude, I wasn't downplaying the talent of the original GnR members. I was just quoting something I heard James say once that was true back in the day. As Axl may not have been all that of which he thinks he was, he did a damn good job of trying to make everyone think so. I think what James was saying is that he was a bit of a tool in the day for thinking he was all that, and hardly giving the rest of the band recognition. Truth is there was talent there, and like you say MC, Axl really ain't got nothing on them. Plain and simply put, yea he can be a --cream-filled twinkie--. Personally I'm a fan of all of them though, including Axl. That ---smurf--- had energy and was most of the reason they were as big as they became during the Illusions I&II, but it was the sound that launched their career on Appetite.
