Don't know that it would be something that would be of interest long term, but I'd definitely drop a few bucks in it just to give it a try.

I was thinking that a spinal injury could result if the lifting mechanism had critical failure. Still definitely one of the more interesting arcade mods I've seen.

IIRC there were some implementations of virtual pinball games that could offer you a similar point of view... go and try it, all you'd need to do is get somebody to lift that lcd screen just an inch in front of your face :-)

I was expecting to see a movie of playback from the point of view of the ball.  Now THAT would be disorienting.
