Found it browing CompUSA.com

I was thinking even if your cant program the X, Y mouse movements to it I can write a program that would perform the mouse movements if a key was pressed.  I can progam this to the keyboard keys and it should work.  DOes my theory sound ok?

Sasquatch!:

I could be wrong, but it looks like it only works as a "scroll" wheel, not as an X or Y mouse, so I dunno.

DinoRoger:

Ya but its says you can program it to keyboard keys.  In VB6 its only 4 lines of code to activate a X, Y mouse movement when a certain key is pressed.  I think mounting it would be the hard part.  Im going to get one today and see how easy it is to extend the shaft.

Brad Lee:

Ive read before that the action on this is more akin to a old stereo volume knob- fluid but not "loose" so it wouldnt spin like a tempest or arkanoid knob.

But if it's reasonable priced, might as well at least check it out- who knows

DinoRoger:

Guess I could always use it as a cool looking volume knob or menu selection knob on my CP.
