| DIY Spinners... VCR parts! |
| (1/1) |
| RayB:
I took apart an old VCR (salvaged some wire, RCA jacks, useful stuff like that) and I noticed the main motor/reading head part rotates SILKY SMOOTH and has a nice weight to it. I just have to figure a way to extend the main axel and it should be possible to turn this into a "nasty spinner" ... old broken VCRs are pretty common. Anyone else care to pursue this theory? ;D |

Here are some other examples that are pretty good. I took mine apart and it wasn't threaded on the back side... http://www.makezine.com/blog/archive/2006/08/how_to_make_a_spinner.html http://www.axe-man.org/page.asp?lang=E&page=122 |
