Ok, Ive been using m32 or a varient for a long time.. but before that, I was experienced in getting the command line version to work. Now, they have changed mame to include a mimi front-end.. which is cool :) However, I do not know how to for instance, enable my mouse for use in spinner games. To be honest, it seems silly that its disabled by default. The new Cfg file is basically blank... unlike previous versions which there were written clues as to what you could change. Anyone? |

Make the mame.ini file with "mame -cc", and either a) (simple) set "mouse 1" or b) (better) set "dial_device mouse" This enables mouse on all games that use mame's dial type input, but not other games. (Might want to do similar for other types of inputs.) |

Or you can go download mala and install it. After launching it, point it to the mame.exe file. Then, just use the gui to make all your configuration. |

There is an online list of all the command line options. Its a bit ponderous to go through because its so long, but its helped me out on quite a few occasions. http://www.mame.net/readmewin.html |

Actually, starting with 0.117u1, the file has been split into two files. Both are in the docs folder; config.txt and windows.txt. |
