dumb quesiton:  if i use quick disconnects, does that mean i don't have to solder anything?

sorry, i am not familiar with them but would pick some up if it meant i didn't have to buy a soldering gun for wiring my control panel...  thanks.

yep 8) Ahh the glory of the QD...

CGRemakes:

Sorry, I broke down and bought the QD's from Home Depot yesterday.  I paid $8.79 for 100, which isn't too bad.  Got my control panel all wired up today using 2 cheap Wal*Mart USB $10 pads.  VERY easy gamepad hack, even for someone like me that had never soldered before.  Thanks for the referal (can't remember who it was).

NickC:

The quick disconnects I am using dont hold the wire very well, so I will be soldering the wire to the qd.....

AX:

lemme tell ya.  a quick disconnect is a quick disconnect.  don't stress yourself out.  I used the 250's and cripmed them a little bit and they are tighter than a virgins hole.  the ones from radio crap or r&s strauss are fine.
