Maybe you could add 'build a garage' to your list of projects?   >:D

I'll tack that onto my "build a house" project then too :D

i know how it is. ive just finished my 4 weeks leave and one of the things i specifically had on my 'things to do' list was to finish my el cheapo space invaders replica. i mean, the cab was done in a week or so but i got stuck on the monitor (same orientation as original, using mirror) and i just never got around to devoting a full day to sorting it out. in the meantime, some of the guys here have built two or three complete cabs!

I know the feeling as well...

A year ago I bought a brand-new home and thought things were finally looking up...did some improvements, projects, etc...made the house into a home for me and my family. I even got a TMNT cab to start on - either repair and rebuild, or make drawings and take measurements and start from scratch. Wife gives me a big thumbs-up and says go for it...

6 months after moving in we hear our corporation is shutting down our site and we figure we'll get sold off, or rebuilt, or *something*!!

Now, here it is, a year after moving in and I have to transfer from Colorado to Oregon and we just put our house on the market yesterday. Now, after buying mucho parts from some members here and asking several questions, that cab in the garage is nothing but an eyesore and a constant reminder of just how quickly things can change. The biggest letdown so far is that homes in Oregon that I can afford are about 1/2 to 3/4 the size of this one, which means space will be at a premium, which means...you guessed it, possibly no room for a cab!!

Wife still says I can build one, but obviously I can't do a thing until we *find* a house in Oregon and determine if there will be room for a cab somewhere. I'm already giving up a pool table in the basement (VERY few homes in the greater Portland area have basements) so I don't know if I should just give up the dream or wait and see if maybe I can put one in the garage or something??

Yeah, the best way to describe it is   :hissy: :censored:!!!

well i got news.

Buddy of mine said "Dude you can build it here in my garage!" So in 2 weeks I get to rip it out of my storage unit, haul it over to his garage and work on it there.

best part is another friend has a painting business so I can use his expertise in painting stuff after I'm done sanding it .

It will sit in his garge or in his house and his kids will be able to play it which is 10X more enjoyment than I would have as it would sit in my living room and noone would mess with it as I'm a hermit.

so now I get to go out and price it all out and geterdone!
