ChadTower:
The free market is all about perception.  Always has been, always will be.  He had to have known this, too, but disregarded the risks of what would happen if the public found out he was murdering animals for giggles.

He should pay the free market price now and the criminal price when proven guilty.  That is exactly what is happening.

Sharidan, they can suspend him for making them look bad.  There is very strong and specific "personal conduct clauses" in every NFL contract.  The union approves them and they are part of the contract template for every player.  They don't use it much because the union sues them every time they try but this is probably the first time since Rae Carruth that they had an active player do something this bad.

The free market being his advertising endorsements. And face it, with athletes of this caliber endorsements are worth WAY more than their actual playing contract.

ChadTower:

Exactly, and all of his endorsements other than Nike are gone.  Most of them were gone before this came out because of his continually embarrassing behaviour.

We do not know that yet. Believe me, i'm all for animals as a dog lover myself, but i'm also all for having the facts before we ruin a guys career and life.

He might have done it from what i can gather thus far, but we still need to be sure.

ChadTower:

Us choosing not to pay to watch him play, or buy his products, is ruining his life?  Companies responding to our desire to no longer associate with him, and thus no longer giving him millions simply for use of his name, is ruining his life?

Or are the consequences of his own actions ruining his life?

The feds have a 95% conviction rate.  This guy is guilty as can be and dumber than that.
