Ok, Ive read a bunch of posts of teaching a man to fish and so on. So before asking for a compiled version of mame I figure Id try it out. Following Mr. Dos compiling instructions, I made it all the way down to the patchmame.bat part. When I did that, I go t a readout saying hunk # 2 failed at 980. I have no clue now if I should compile mame or not. Im trying to add the latest hiscore.diff file as found in this thread: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=64298.0 Apparently MKChamp had added the .117 hiscore. text. Im a little confused at how to apply this file. Do I rename it to a diff file or what. Im sure this is where my error is. Thanks for listining!! ~V PS - if anyone does have a precompiled 117 - send it too me ;) ;D |

ok, I went ahead and found out that I had to apply the latest .diff patch then the .txt file. So I got that done with no errors, but after 15 minutes into the compiling, it stopped and gave me an error (see attached pic). so now I have no Idea where to go. Please Help!!! |
| MKChamp:
If you are using the 117 source, then you need to use the hi_116u4 file. If you plan on compiling 117u1, then the order would be to patch the 117 source with the 117u1 diff and then patch with the hi_117u1 diff. Also, it would be a good idea to do a clean compile. To be safe, delete everything and start over. Good luck! |
