| DigitalFusion:
Hey all, I have a PC game (star wars x-wing alliance) that requires a joystick installed in my MAME cab. The game wont even start without a joystick or game pad installed. Does anyone know of a way to get a driver or something that will make the keyboard function as a game controller in the windows control panel? Is there software out there that will do this? |
| ChicagoDave:
I believe this is what the ppjoykey program does. |
| DigitalFusion:
ahhh!! thank you! I have been googl'ing for hours now and all I found were programs to use a joystick as a keyboard! |
| DigitalFusion:
this game is retarded... does NOT work well on a MAME cab (for future potential searchers) |

Agreed... but if you're looking for a Star Wars game for your cab there are a few that work reasonably well... Rogue Squadron 3d Racer Starfighter Check out this post for a few screenshots of starfighter and some suggestions: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=61731.0 Also, for non-starwars pc games that work well I loaded Spider-Man Mechwarrior 3 Tomb Raider 2 Rune Though these worked "ok" to varying degrees... |
