And I've been wanting to update the power supply anyway, maybe I'll just convert it to jamma and then see where that takes me. Hawk --- End quote --- Cool. Makes no difference to me, but if that were my sweet ass Galaga machine - I would be looking for another machine to handle all the other classics. What game is it that your looking to play? If the Galaga doesn't have much sentimental value for you, they have a real good resale value which would be more than enough to build\convert 1-2 MAME boxes. My last cabinet took me about 2 weeks and $300 to build. It's a (mame)donkey kong machine and looks\plays great. |

Nice thing about Galaga cabs, the control panels are very easy and quick to swap. Takes 5 seconds. |

Hawk, I have a better Idea. I'll trade you my empty Ms. Pac cab for the Galaga. ;D Seriously though, It's always a shame when a functional cab with historic value gets modified. Even something as simple as a Jamma conversion. If the original wiring works why fix it. Many of us would kill for an original Galaga that works... So we don't want you to change it...but it's your cab. With your luck just go to the pawn shop and pick up another cab for $50. ;) |

I'm keeping galaga in it, I'm just going to convert it to JAMMA and add a pac man board, and a jamma 2-1 adapter so that I can select with game I want to play, I'm keeping the pcb, just basically updating the wiring, and the control panel, and marquee. And where is the dude that has the emptry ms pacman cabinet, cause I would slap a jamma harness in there and my ms pacman board and be done with it. Hawk |
