I don't think this is going to help

Heh.  I had a friend who did stuff like that in HS... this guy flipped us off in traffic once, so he followed the guy home and a month later stole the guy's muffler in the middle of the night.  Late model car, too, so the owner must have been all confused on that one.

Hey everybody, sing along!

(abusing the theme to 'L.O.V.E')
V is for the vice you, showed to me,
I is for that person whose, coming you will never see,
G is for the pair of, giant chips
I carry, and
Look, there's one on each of my, shoulders every one of these days, cause
Anybody who isn't me, doesn't get to live their lives free,
Never mind how trivial, the infraction just might ever be, cause
There, is no need for, me to be at all mature, when
Everyone will see that, my revenge will be so, absolutely pure,

yes, disproportional responses, are so funny from our friends,
never mind they cause a cycle, of stupidity that will never end,
so, better not cross me cause, I'll just cut you down,
then you're friends and family, I will yes take them to town, cause
being an ---uvula--- is what, life is all about,
never mind that "just ignore the fool", you parent types drone on about,
and I'm sure glad I live so far away, from the kind of fools,
who think it's funny to reciprocate, by acting like a bigger tool.

How I pine for the stories of people who come up with clever ways to hoist people on their own petard. I mean, petty thievery and vandalism are just too cool for a square like me.  :tool:

I wonder if someone is complaining about his Raleigh bike being stolen. It was parked on that spot where that mountain bike was always parked, but all of a sudden that spot was empty.

It's not something I do often, by any means, and I didn't set out six months later with the intent of getting my revenge, the situation just happened to present itself and I took it. I don't make a habit of disproportionate responses to wrongs done to me, in fact, in the vast majority of cases, I'm far more likely to move on with my life because they're not worth the effort. I've had friends offer to get back at people who screwed me over and turned them down. I've been in the position to ruin lives of people who have certainly earned it by their actions and let it go. Just every so often an opportunity, usually in some small but meaningful manner. to wrong someone who did me wrong first will pop up and I'll seize it. Does it make me a tool, I suppose that's a matter of opinion-at least personally, I don't feel badly for doing it when it does happen.

the danger is sometimes the opportunity passes if you wait too long. years ago i bought a beach buggy kit and had it shipped to me. when it arrived the bonnet (hood) was missing. the clowns at the freight company swore blind that it didnt get sent with it. evenetually the manufacturer was good enough to send me a replacement free of charge. of course the colour was slightly different because fibreglass pigment is mixed in batches and this was a metal flake finish. a month or so after i got the replacement some guy calls me from interstate to tell me his wife nearly ran off the road because of this big blue thing. how did he know to call me? the consignment note was stuck to it! the freight guys were lying all along!

my plan was to wait for a few months and then go and put glue in the locks of their freight yard. not a big revenge but it would have been nice to know they wasted their time. in the meantime of course they went bust!

something good came out of it though. when i told the guy who found the bonnet that i already had a replacement, he said cool he was going to use it for a little sand pit for his kid (",)
