--- Quote from: Numbski on July 16, 2007, 03:01:06 pm ---This is very useful stuff. The thing that puzzles me is the fact that I'm constantly flooding the workpiece with water. I wouldn't expect it to ever get airborne. :| This isn't worth dying over, of course. When you say a full respirator, you mean have a tank of breathable O2 sitting by and you breathe from the tank? Or just a good quality dustmask? --- End quote --- I would use one of those 3m jobbies that covers your nose/mouth with the replacable cartridge filters. A step up from the standard i'm working with wood fiber, universal cloth masks. It depends on how much you value your health long-term. Your flooding the work surface, but how much slurry is left to dry after you've drilled? I dont know, with the water flood if it was my shop, i'd end up using a quality dust mask and get out the big one for cleanup if any of the slurry has dried. I use air tools and anything left to dry could get into the air while cleaning up or working on other things. If your painting, a 3m painters mask would work great and you probably have one already. |
