I have mine in MDF. Worked well so far. You have the force of gravity on your side, so I guess it wouldn't be too likely that the T-Nuts would come loose. |

I cut a counsink on a drill bit and made the holes just a tad smaller then the screw I was using so it still threads tight but I just have mine screwed in and have not had any problems at all and I too use mdf but I use 3/4" mdf with formica. |

That's what the teeth are there for, to bite into the wood, hold in, and prevent spinning. |
