HOLY SMOKE !

HE BEAT ME !!!! ;)

Congratulations !!!!!

I guess the very first shipments were made to The Netherlands, there must be a reason for the early serial numbers to appear here !?!?

AND IT HAS THE BLUE THROUGH THE LETTERS !!!!!!! This is EXACTLY as it is on that flyer picture !! This is very unique. I guess they changed it after a short while because of the readability.

That red ball top must have been replaced though....

Robin since we live in the same town, do you realize that the Galaxian machine concentration in this place must be the highest in the country ;)

We must meet soon !!!!

Please tell me you're going to get a PCB for it. No MAME please :D

Where did you find it ?

(o, and a small tip, you can upload about 3/4 pics per posting....)

Haha, I missed that one on marktplaats !

A good choice, I never liked Crystal Castles :D
About the same way that I got my Mario Bros. Guy was selling a Paper Boy and he mentioned in the text only that he also had a Mario Bros........

Did you see the Mario Bros that is currently on marktplaats ? It looks great but a bit pricy....

You did a good deal IMHO :D

Ahhh, you're just teasing me ehhh Robbin....not 178 but 171.......hahaha !

Do you realise that this was only the 70th cab to come off the production line ??  :notworthy: :notworthy:

The serial numbering started with 101, so this is number 70. That's great if you know that the highest number I've seen here so for is in the 29000....

I love the difference in the side art. Not only is the blue going through the letters, also the dot on the i is white. It is green on the later numbers....That side looks to be in very good shape, some cleaning will do wonders....fantastic find ! :D

That monitor set-up is weird. It is completely the other way around from my cab ! The wood is on the left on your cab. It's definitly not the WG K4500 that was in my cab. Yours looks a bit like this one:
http://www.jomac.net.au/Kaga-Nanao%20KZ-20ES-L_No-T503.JPG
(judging from the large metal plate for the transistor...) The CRT is Japanese so this could also be an indication for this. Is the CRT PCB loose or missing ?Check out the full site for identification:
http://www.jomac.net.au/mon.htm

Do you think the T-molding on your cab is leather-look or simple "straight" black ?
What is on that coin insert ? Doesn't look like the regular Dutch coin insert from those days to me...

Hey Robin !

It was great to meet you yesterday !

We had LOTS of talk about everything arcade !!! It's so weird to meet a fellow classic arcade game collector who lives in the same town through a forum in the US :D

If you need any help with the Galaxian restoration, let me know. I just had an idea, when yours is finished, it would be ultra cool to bring the two together for a "foto shoot" :D

I really love that original side-art on your cab, excellent condition !!!!!

I hope to see you at your place in a couple of weeks and see your collection. I'll bring my Centipede PCB ;) !

oh and : please, please,please: Black-leathered T-molding  :D :D :D  Keep it as original as possible :D

Yeah.. 6 buttons is about as many as you're gonna fit.  Looking good.  Question:  Does yours have vinyl on the top/bottom or was it painted only.  Mine had vinyl.. Level's apparently did not.

He's kidding I hope  :laugh2: :laugh2:  :o

Robin has three PCB's. One should work or be made to work :)

csa3d is that a glass bezel you have ?

That vinyl must have been retro-fitted I guess....(you mean vinyl on the CP right ?)

Yes, it's glass.  It's in "B" type disrepair.. some artwork scrapes, most of the damage around the bottom where the CP meets.  Only closeup pick I have of this is from my thread.  Can take more if you want.

Nah, I was referring to the top of the machine and the bottom of the machine.  It was original vinyl, same aged feeling as the sideart at least.

The top and bottom of my machine have vinyl as well. Only the insides of the side panels on top were just wood with really worn off white paint. You can see the burn marks of cigarettes in the vinyl on the top on the pictures.

My bezel is plastic. I've done a great deal of polishing, but it's not perfect. There are blurry parts in the clear area. Really spoils my brand new dark perspex under it  ::)

I got a plastic one because I didn't want the risk of it breaking in transport across the Atlantic.

I have that same blue-ish scan line problem (see pic) in the background of my Sanyo monitor in my DK cabinet. What causes it and how do you get rid of it? Also, like yours it doesn't go entirely across the screen it stops about 90% across like yours in that pic.

Let me know if find out how to fix that.
