Yep it's a push/pull spinner suitable for Discs Of Tron . This is a really nice promotion. Though I can't seem to find any pics of the stock knob (not the $10 DOT replica).

I figured it had to do with Tron. Sadly, I've never had the opportunity to play DoT with the spinner in the arcades. So I still have no idea what you're talking about.

There are buttons built into the spinner so you could pull it up or push it down to press them.

I believe you will be holding a joystick with one hand and the spinner with the other (liek Tron), although DoT requires button presses as well. This would be hard to manage since most people only have two hands. To solve this problem, DoT has a unique push/pull spinner which means you can pull up/push down on the knob to "push a button". This way the player can move the joystick, turn the spinner while pushing a button all at one time ... if required.
