More Template Printing Issues
« on: May 25, 2007, 11:51:19 pm »
I have my control panel built, now I'm ready to start drilling.  I like the template Figure6-12 on the cd.  I've scanned this message board for solutions and i think I've tried every one.  Paint prints it way too small.  I tried messing around with the percentages, seems like it may be around 275% but it seems like it would be impossible to get it perfect.  I also tried the InfanView program.  Changing the dpi to 125 made it about 1/4 page (way too small).  Any suggestions short of going to kinkos?

You need to enlarge the image so that its the same size as the blank control panel templates in chapter 6 on the cd.  You'll want to find a program that lets you change the size to a specific number of pixels.  I use Photoshop, but I'm sure theres plenty of other options out there.

by the way, the correct size is:
4312 pixels x 2312 pixels

once its that size, printing it out in MS paint should work.

Thank you, that worked.  Taping multiple pieces together accurately was very difficult though.  I went to Staples and it cost $3.50 for 2 copies full size.  I highly recommend doing it that way.
