I was having issues getting my old @ss video card to work with TinyXP. So I decided to crack out old Win98. I'm attempted Mamewah 1.62, Mame 1.61, and Mame .97. Each one I get the follow error in log. It then crashes. 5/18/07 8:59:43 PM MAMEWAH v1.62 launched 5/18/07 8:59:43 PM Desktop colour: 8421376 5/18/07 8:59:43 PM Wallpaper filename: 5/18/07 8:59:43 PM Desktop display mode: 1024x768 @ 60Hz, 16bit colour 5/18/07 8:59:43 PM Decimal symbol: '.' 5/18/07 8:59:43 PM Games list read: mame-0.lst 5/18/07 8:59:43 PM Layout selected: C:\WINDOWS\DESKTOP\MAMEWAH_V162B13\config\layout.lay 5/18/07 8:59:43 PM Bad image file: C:\WINDOWS\DESKTOP\MAMEWAH_V162B13\config\art.png 5/18/07 8:59:43 PM Error: 429 ActiveX component can't create object in SFX_InitialiseDS 5/18/07 8:59:43 PM Error: 429 ActiveX component can't create object in CTRLR_InitialiseDI 5/18/07 8:59:43 PM Error: 429 ActiveX component can't create object in SFX_InitialiseDS 5/18/07 8:59:48 PM Error: 429 ActiveX component can't create object in SFX_InitialiseDS 5/18/07 8:59:48 PM MAMEWAH quit |

Have you installed the MameWAH system files and the latest version of DirectX? John |

Wow, long time no post! Ok, I am having this exact same issue. Latest Mamewah, latest Directx (well, 9c), and I am still having this issue. Any other suggestions? |
| Space Fractal:
Download system files from mamewah homepage and register them (using the bat file)... As Jcrouse said, without correctly registred system files, mamemay would not run. |
