Can I fix my trackball?
Lomar:
I have a Happ 3" PS2/USB trackball that I paid way too much money for to have issues.
After tweaking some sensitivity stuff early on, it worked very well in my various trackball games (GT, Centipede, etc.).
Then...about 6 months ago I started getting massive "lag". We all know the story. I've tried every setting possible and on the UP of the Y axis it gets that nasty lag. It is easy enough to test in Windows (not even in Mame). However, I don't get that lag going DOWN on the Y axis.
I'm guessing something inside is worn out/broken.
Can anybody tell me what I need to buy/replace to fix this issue?!

That's weird that it only happens when you go up. :dizzy:

This is just really @#$%&*@$ great.
And here I thought I just had a lubrication issue or something.

You bknow, a problem that's well known as this might be a good candidate for the Wiki ;)

If it's up but not down (at same speeds), it's NOT normal backspin. Plus it was working fine at first....

I think it's either a lube problem (bearings not lubed enough or ball/roller too lubed) or your roller is worn. You can open up the TB case and look. How long have you had the TB and how much use?
