Should we add an Artwork Forum?

Kind of -- the logo forum will go away after we're done with choosing them.  Posts can stay and become the artwork forum if folks want one, but I don't intend to have both a logo and artwork forum.... :)

The klov.com forums split into about twice as many forums a while back, and posting went down dramatically when it happened.

Couldn't the logo and the artwork forum just be combined?

But the more organized the forums, the less I need to check.  I hardly ever go to software or Jukebox, for example, since I'm no programmer and I don't have a Jukebox (yet  ;) ).  Of course this is assuming people will actually stick to the rules of relevance when posting (lots of stuff still need to be moved) ...

With the logo forum going away after it is chosen an artwork forum would make sense.  There are some great artists around and would love to see their posts in one forum.   Could fonts be included in an artwork forum as they seem to be in demand when creating some works?

It's a fine line to balance: If you make too many subforums, you'll splinter/fragment the audience TOO much, to where each subforum dies a bit, but having ten million threads in the Main Forum is a problem too.  We had a very similar problem at Something Awful and learned all this as we went.

The more "specialized" a subforum is (and an artwork forum is a great example of this), the better it will work both for that particular subforum, and for the overall forum community.  So I still say "yes".
