Opinions on how to secure a joint on a racing setup!!!!
rovingmind:
WELD IT
divemaster127:
I'm trying to avoid that the whole thing is built & wired it would be a ton of work to take apart for welding, plus this is aluminium tube I do not have that kind of welder
thanks

epoxy weld then?
threadlocker would just lock the nut itself.
_) (V) (-):
What about one of them flat roller bearings?
I don't know the exact name of them are but they look like a washer with BB's around the middle. (You'd see them under turntables or desk chairs)
This would give you a spacer that also rotates smoothly.
NickG:
Maybe you can drill an additional hole all the way through the rotating joint surfaces and stick a cotter pin or an additional bolt through it to lock the position.
