I have two boys who constantly look at all the quarters which come through the household in hopes to add to their collection.  They have all quarters from 1999 through 2005, but are in need of some quarters from 2006 and 2007.  Knowing a lot of people on this board live all over the USA I was hoping someone might help out with sending me some quarters

They do not need "mint" quarters for their collection.  Simple used quarters will do, however, try to find some without big scratches or scum on them if possible.  :)

The state quarters they collect are from the Denver mint (quarter has a "D" on the front) and the Philadelphia mint (quarter has a "P" on the front).

Here is the list of state quarters they still require:

2006 Nevada D (need 1)

2006 Colorado D (need 1)

2006 South Dakota P (need 2)

2007 Washington P (1)

If anyone has any quarters, please indicate which ones you have.

Oh yeah, I will pay you via PayPal for the quarters and shipping of course.

Let me know if you can help out by PM'ing me or emailing direct.   Much appreciated.

Regards,
UncleT  --->  emailAddrRemoved

Actually, the "D" stands for the Denver mint.

I'll take a look through my pile of change and see what I can find.  Any interest in the new Washington dollar coins?

Idaho, Wyoming, and Utah aren't released yet:
http://www.usmint.gov/mint_programs/50sq_program/index.cfm?flash=yes&action=schedule

And I'm looking for Washington myself.  I think I MIGHT have Nevada
and Colorado, will check.  The Dakota's were hard to come by for me.

I've got a Nebraska (D) and a North Dakota (D) that you're welcome to.  I can't believe I don't have the west coast ones, since I live in WA.  If you want the first two, I can look around a bit before sending them in case I can locate a few of the others for you - probably would save on shipping.

Hey Uncle T

I've got about $40 worth of these sitting in a coffee can on my desk.
Been trying to collect seven sets of each myself, one for each of my nieces & nephews.  Been putting them into albums for them and hope to finish before any more a born. haha

I'm also having trouble finding the newer coins (from the last year or so) but also have some gaps in the older ones.

I'll print out your 'wants list' and try to sift through them this weekend.

If you or anyone else is interested in swapping coins, here is my needs list:

2002
Indiana P need 3
Mississippi P need 1

2003
Illinois  P need 2
Alabama D need 4
Maine P need 4
Arkansas D need 4

2004

Flordia P need 4
Texas D need 5
Iowa P need 7

2005
California   P need 2

I've got 2 Washingtons and 2 more, Nevada or Nebraska, I can't remember. I put them on the side for you.

If anyone is starting up a set and needs to aquire some of the old ones, I have loads of 1999/2000/2001 dated quarters to offer.

I save all the 1980's ones for my MAME machine, it seems to run better on them.  :laugh2:

I have a Colorado (D) if you still need it. PM sent.

My girlfriend is also collecting these. Some of them are hard to find in Hawaii. She has to resort to playing what she calls the "quarter game" using the Pepsi machine in our building. See puts in 4 quarters and presses the return button to see if any quarters she needs come out.

I'll post a list of which she needs for her collection when I have time.

Edit: Updated list 06/20/07

1999 Connecticut (P)
2002 Louisiana (P)
2003 Illinois (P)
2003 Missouri (P)
2003 Arkansas (P)
2004 Florida (P)
2004 Texas (P)
2004 Iowa (P)
2005 California (P)
2006 Nevada (P)
2006 Nebraska (P)
2006 Colorado (P)
