Ideas for jukebox program

(1/2) > >>

Generic Eric:
I have a few ideas for a jukebox program.   Granted they don't actually apply to a jukebox, but... Ok...here they are.

Two for Tuesday mode.
Im not sure the best way to implement this other than with the mp3list.  But is there a way to program it in?  Like if there is an AC/DC song on my list that the program stops following the list and searchs for another AC/DC song?  The search is liable to be huge, so maybe you could narrow it down by selecting a directory of artists that were eligible.

Metallica @ 9 mode.  I am not worldly myself, but I know that rock and roll stations in more than one state do this.
My idea for the implementation in the jukebox program would be that @ 9pm, a set of random Metallica songs would play.

Get the Led out.  This is similar to Metallica @ 9 mode.  One of my favorite classic rock stations did this.  They played random Led Zepplin songs for an hour every night.

I don't know if the jukebox programs have the ability to play a song or mp3list at a certain time.

aj6500:
Nope, none.  Why not just play your metallica cd's when you want metallica?

...Why?  Because I want it done automatically at 9pm.

aj6500:
Buy a cd alarm clock and put in the cd you want.  Or if your radio station does it at nine, turn on the radio.

Generic Eric:
Ok.

Maybe I said something you didn't like.  I think my ideas are fine.  If you don't like them, just come out and say so, but please don't bring my thread down.

The idea of  triggering an mp3 or an mp3 list at scheduled time could be helpful to others and might be of some interest to programmers.  How about some relaxing jazz after a long day of work?

Please note that the subject read "Ideas for jukebox program," not "Demands for jukebox program." I didn't post to a particular author (or any author for that matter) demanding or even requesting that it be included in the next release of their software.
