"Tearing" on U3100 with scrolling games
« on: April 16, 2003, 09:50:40 am »
Howie avised me some time ago to switch vertical sync on -unfortunately it didn't help.

I've set the monitor to 60 hz - I can't use sync to monitor refresh, as games speed up dramatically.

The tearing comes -well, every halfsecond I guess. I first noticed it on Xevious, but this game has a strange refresh rate anyway (60.5? Hz). Scramble and many others do it also. Gorf is really wavy when the text scrolls in.

Anyone did solve this?

Just forgot to mention - I'm using MAME .66 (windows-commandline version).
