No.. Video is the top layer ;)

loadman, sorry I dont understand what you mean by 'video is the top layer'. Does that me mala cant display video files on an layout? I was hoping to use emumovie files to display the game(s) in action during the scroling of the games list.

I mean you can have video on a layout but you can't have text on top of it. If that is a big deal try another FE  ;)

If you have a look on the MaLa Website there are many layouts that don't even have tect over still snapshots. You can put one of thoses layouts into the layout editor and subsitute the snapshot pane for a video pane. Then don't forget to set the path to videos in options-mame config-pictures and video and also enable videos in gui-options
