I suppose you guy's preferences are tainted by nostalgia. Behold... the undisputed greatest match in wrestling history.
Before anyone agrues the point.... how many other "gimmick" matches ever produced such a level of emotion and told such a great story? Plus both wrestlers had adequate history, personality and back-story for you to care about the outcome one way or another. Finally there aren't many matches that look this good from a guy with a severely broken foot (undertaker) vs a guy with multiple broken bones, a concussion and a dislocated shoulder (mankind) and they finished the frikkin match!!
(I shouldn't even have to mention the fall.)
80's wrestling is nice, but aside from some great exceptions, it was mostly a decade of fat slow guys fake punching each other in facepaint. ;)

The greatest matches I've ever seen were the series between AJ Styles and Jerry Lynn in the first couple months of TNA... those two guys built an entire company in the course of about 7 matches. Right there with Flair-Steamboat and Owen-Bret Hart.

I have to agree 100%, by far the best match ever. The best part was an interview I saw with the Undertaker sometime after that match, he was asked if he thought Mick was ok after the fall, Undertakers reply "I thought he was dead".

Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guererro had some great matches in WCW, but they were never really appreciated. I can't find the video, but Rey had a bout against psychosis and he executed a flawless huricanrana into a pin. And when I say perfect, he landed on the guys shoulders and next thing you know he is on top of him with both legs hooked - no reaching back after the fact. When I saw that I said "Holy ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---!!!" Simply the best maneuver I have ever seen.
Another excellent bout I can't find video of, the Bret Hart/Chris Benoit marthon match that they dedicated to Owen. It was like 30 minutes long and was technically perfect.
