rovingmind:

Its officially broken.  now remove it and put it on ebay.

shardian:

OK, I have seen reason and finally figured out how to determine if it is broken...

...Can it still fit in your basement. If not, then it is broken. ;D

MaximRecoil:

Chad never jumps on the bandwagon. I don't generally agree with him, and have had several arguments with him -- but he always speaks his mind regardless of who's opinions it disagrees with.

With that said, his response here is based on common sense, and I've used the "tires" (and shocks) analogy as examples of consumables myself.

Others include:

- Vacuum cleaner bags
- Lightbulbs
- Tennis racket or guitar strings
- Batteries
- Filters of many kinds
- Spark plugs
- Etc.

In general, an item needing a consumable part replaced is not said to be "broken" by real people in real conversations.

SavannahLion:

It's in a less than satisfactory, partially functional as manufacturer intended state with limited use potential on the world market.

Here comes the rationale that they're all part of the Drew Crew or simply mocking you *yawn*
