Effing rain kept some guy from driving down here from Oregon to buy a trailerload of games from me this weekend. I hate the rain. |

What type of roof repair requires a chainsaw to fix? Today is another day I have to work on the cab. It's sleeting right now, and its going to be 45 and raining with 40mph winds. Global warming, ---my bottom---. |

Round here we'd kill for that rain right now. Looking back though geological/sedimentary and other data we are in the worst drought on record, and certainly for more than the past thousand years. Brisbane (.au, not CA) has about 1.5 million people looking like running out of drinking water sometime in the next year. Seriously. Our reservoir levels are down to about 20% of their capacity and it's now dawning on people that the climate has changed, probably for good. Most everywhere else in Australia that isn't in the tropics is almost as bad. It's now illegal to wash your car and hose your garden. Already heavily restricted, it will be illegal to top up your swimming pool from July unless a bunch of water-saving conditions around your house are met, like dual-flush toilets and a water efficient washing machine. Luckily for me, though, it's not affecting my cabinet-building at all. |

I can definitely sympathize. I had friday and saturday off. Didn't get a thing done. I probably should have spent time getting the software set up on the PC or worked on the artwork for my cocktail, but instead I just cleaned the house and surfed the web. I'm in Cincinnati. It was also the deciding factor on whether or not I should drive to the Indianapolis auction. Not that I have a lot of money to spare, but I still wanted to go just to see what was going on. I also thought I might pick up a dead cabinet to put my Simpsons Bowling PCB in. The Dayton, OH auction is coming up in 3 weeks anyway. --- Quote from: shock_ on April 16, 2007, 07:43:36 am ---Brisbane (.au, not CA) has about 1.5 million people looking like running out of drinking water sometime in the next year.
