Actually as I was reading the Wiki I was getting really excited just to be in what I'm envisioning as the biggest arcade ever!  The Wiki mentioned everything you stated but I appreciate your insight.  Once again I'm looking for a conversion machine with working monitor so I'm not going to be bidding on any dedicated machines.  But who knows, maybe there will be the coolest game or something that brings back memories and I'll have to get it.  But being my first time I know it will take some take to take it all in!  This is the 2nd auction in 3 months here in Milwaukee so it seems there is good business for the auctioneers here.  Since I only live about 35-40 minutes from the site I should have no problems transporting any CABS I get.  Also a friend who is attending with me is bringing his 18 foot Uhaul style work truck so I can transport everything covered and safely.  I think avoiding the pickup truck is a good idea since the weather will be crappy.  I will try and provide PICS and a list of games being sold but I may be to delusional to remember, ha-ha.  More suggestions/comments or are welcome.  Cheers!

There is usually, as there was at this auction, the "dead row".  I did not post any prices from the dead row.  at this last auction, there were about 50 non-working / crappy cabs.  I bought a non working Teraburst cab (still had monitor and guts) for $35 (total price $42 with the taxes and fees).  I dont have any "monitor fix" skills so can't help you there.

There was an empty pac-mac cab that sold for $75.

The auction is like a giant arcade and it is fun to go even if you dont buy anything.  When you arrive, go check in and get your bidder #, and thats all you need.  if you are planning on buying, bring a truck, rope, some basic tools, flashlight, and, if necessary, a pre-permission slip from your significant other.
