I like to argue about cops.  I got a ticket in North Carolina for going 75 in a 70.  I had out of state tags, so I guess that's like a big bullseye.  Cost of the ticket was $83.  It was a $3 fine and $80 in court costs.  Even if I was found not guilty, I would have to pay the court costs, so I would save myself $3 by appearing. (At least that's what the cop told me, maybe he just didn't want me to show up)

How can they charge court costs if you're found not guilty?  Well, traffic court goes by a different set of rules, I guess.  You're definitely not considered innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.

That's the exact same thing I wasn't understanding, and the reason for the mess I'm currently in.  It's not actually the cops that are at fault there, it's the court system and that it's the friggen law about the court costs.

As for tommy the dope, I don't expect him to do the math, but I'll lay it out so that even a 3rd grader should be able to get it.  Someone get their 3rd grader to translate it for tommy, because that's the lowest common denominator I can dumb this down to.

Tommy, are you following along?  Good!

I lived in NC, and had this speeding ticket in 2000.

Go to my profile and look for my first post.

Write down the year of that first post.

Now subtract 2000 from that year.

Now wait for the 3rd grader to come along and explain what all those things mean.

Also, lay out the laws of your state tommy.  Surely with the few hours you spend here, and the evidently pamphlet-sized book of law in your state you can break it down to us in less than a paragraph.  Or else you were trying to make a joke.

If it's the latter (again, have the 3rd grader assplain that one to you), in the future please try to run your "jokes" past someone here who's funny so that you can learn what funny is via repeated beatings with a rubber hose.

No way! Drew can't take a good ribbing without flipping his lid?  :o

If that's the case btw, you should just delete your byoac account right now and be on your way.

I tried that.  Turns out somebody snagged it up and changed the name to "tommy" and is now making a bigger ass of himself than I could have ever dreamed of doing.

Who knew? :dunno
