hi again people!

ok i have fiddled about with a Crystal Maze SWP for a while and figured i now have enough knowledge of what i want to do to start my prject.

i want to either get and revamp or make from scratch a Altered Beast arcade cabinet.

firstly i have searched high and low on google and found some pictures of the cabinet art and manipulated them and cleaned them up as best as i can and hope they look nearly as good as the real ones which i cannot get!

so its now just the cabinet because my Crystal Maze cab was a MAME anyway so i can transfer it all over and scrap teh cab  :)

so if anyone could maybe send a link to a page of dimentions for the cab or even has a cab for me in bristol that would be great, i did see the dimentions once on the net and swear i downloaded the page but could not find it  :( but hopefully u guy's can help me:)

cheers

Crowquill:

As far as I know, Altered Beast was only sold as a kit to convert existing cabinets. Most I played were Williams cabinets (like the pic on KLOV).

If you want a SIMILAR cab to what it might have been like, maybe you could copy the Alien Syndrome cab. I think that was the only System-16 game that had it's own cab.

Crackdown was sold as a dedicated machine a few years after AB, but appears to be a standard Dynamo cut-corner cab.

I'd use whatever cab you could get or find a design you like and build it. By the time you put clean artwork on it, it'll look dedicated anyway.

david656:

oh yeh!

ok i rephrase :)

i want the design for the Golden Axe case i think :)

and one got spec for that type of case?

david656:

btw people if any of u would like a copy of my best try at re doing the altered beast artwork feel free to post a email address and i will send u a copy of them  :)

Ken Layton:

Altered Beast and Golden Axe were only available as conversion kits. They could be installed in just about any cabinet.

In general though, I installed Altered Beast in Williams cabinets and Golden Axe in Nintendo cabinets.
