my absolute favourite EVER would have to be duran duran- girls on film. but then all gen x guys will that. i was just watching tom petty- dont come around here no more. thats damn cool. massive attack - unfinished sympathy (next fav after duran duran) . another excellent clip for me is the stranglers - golden brown  and visage - fade to grey

obviously i have taken a shining to muse - knights of cydonia

some other notables for me:

butthole surfers- who was in my room

white town - your woman

anything by wierd al (",)

anything aphex twin

aha - take on me (dont laugh, its cool!)

van halen- hot for teacher

cradle of filth - babylon ad

devo - whip it

cornershop - brimful of asha (not the least because there is a computer space in the room)

roy orbison - mystery girl

most queens of the stone age clips

pearl jam - do the evolution

metallica - one

kraftwerk - pocket calculator (purely because its so funny to see them perform live. just standing there, pressing the occasional button)

judas priest - turbo lover (love the 'street fighter' bikes)

herbie hancock - rockit

the firm - star trekkin (might be an aussie one. damn funny. you have to hunt this down and check it out)

genesis - land of confusion

obviously ive just been panning through my vid folder. theres so much gold thats been made over the years...

It is cool, but not as cool as this.

MYX:
Yeah, that was back in the day when videos were art. Now it is just chicks dancin and people makin the sideways victory sign and chest thumpin.

Peter Gabrel did some outstanding videos.

Always felt there should have been a video for Red Barchetta.

Lately I have just not been impressed with much. My brother turned me on to Rob Dougan. I am not overly keen on his music (not bad, just not in my taste), but his videos are very interesting.
  Furious Angels
   Clubbed to Death

AtomSmasher:
Lordi makes some pretty cool videos.  They're basically short horror movies.

Zero_Hour:
Thought I'd bring in some Arcade relevant vids, that I like into the discussion - Mentioning Tom Petty made me remember this one:

You Got Lucky Look for the abuse of a Stern Astro Invaders near the very end of the clip.  :o

Rush - Subdivisions Teen angst and Tempest

DJ Format - 3 Feet Deep One of my favorite rap vids of all time, and a pretty amusing riff on Dance Dance Revolution as well. Look for the Mortal Kombat and Nintendo "old school" references as well. This was posted on Retroblast some time ago, but if you never saw it, it's a pretty amusing concept that is fairly well executed.

As for my real top picks...
Bjork - Oh so quiet Spike Jonez can't do a bad music video in my opinion.

In a word, odd.

I pretty much love all of Tool's videos, but this is the most disturbing to me.

Wax - California Sorry no you tube link, and there is an ad embedded in the video clip (middle of the page for the link), but if you've never seen it, it's worth a look.
