Stargate SG-1 The End?

jbox:
I'll try to avoid any spoilers in general - but I agree that absolutely nothing major was resolved. The episodes were written with them already planning that the movies would be "required bookends" as it were.

However, there were two minor arcs touched upon. The first about those guys who are in it at the start (which is sad), and the second involving those members of the team. It is a really, really, REALLY big shame that they couldn't get RDA back for that last episode because that would have been much more interesting to watch then a cello.

In the words of the housekeeper from TNG: All Good Things - "I think he looks like a bleedin' skunk!"  ;D

AtomSmasher:
Looks like another Stargate spinoff show is in the works, but still a long ways off.

"The working title of the third 'Stargate' television series is 'Stargate Universe', executive producer Robert C. Cooper told GateWorld. The show currently exists in the form of a one-page treatment of the story and characters. Cooper and executive producer Brad Wright will start writing the pilot after shooting on the two 'Stargate SG-1' movies finishes in June. Meanwhile, new episodes of 'SG-1' and 'Atlantis' start airing April 13 in the U.S., on The SCI FI Channel. "

I can't wait for the movie based on a tv show based on a movie to come out.

Isn't that the first sign of the apocalypse?

Seriously though... 10 seasons is too much for a really good show, much less an "eh it's a dumb man's star trek" series.  Remember, this is coming from a fan of the show, but even I have enough sense to know that it wasn't that good to begin with.  Anyway, the show is old, it's time to end it.  Movies will be a nice way to ease us out of the series.

The only reason I'm sad about this is that right now the air-waves are seriously low on sci-fi.  BSG is also endign next year, atlantis is even more of a lame start trek clone than sg1 and for the first time since 1989... no star trek!

FrizzleFried:
I've never seen a single episode...about 5 minutes of about 10-15 different episodes,  but I grow bored easily.
