IMS it's the same price with free shipping for four additinal inputs.

The settings getting reset isn't a big deal except that the default codeset on the VE isn't that great.  Even then, if you don't hot-swap the device (desktop controller), you just add a WinIPAC shortcut to your startup program and it is good to go.

I have a desktop controller using the KeyWiz and I almost always use default settings with it, but they don't repeat any keys, and it works fine for me.
