Photon, the original Laser Tag

SithMaster:
When i played tag at my graduation party it was as you described, the bad version i mean.  Our guns had the dome and the battery pack was on a strap that in one game fell apart and i had to try and fumble with it in the dark.  the helmet looks way better then what i use

the guns i own have the domes but you can move them to a helmet as others have done for fairness but it isnt a problem with my friends.  one of them shoots a foam rocket that sends tags everywhere but you have to retreive it and pump it up to fire it again.  the sucker has a 40 ft range but over time it loses distance since repeated reloading causes the foam to widen and reduce the pressure.

photon sounds awesome though but im sure there are few arenas left and none near me.  i like the spectators interacting and the crawl spaces.  the price to play though is darn good for the amount of time to play.  after playing both paintball and lazer tag i would have to say id prefer lazer tag.  you said you paid 3 dollars for a game when a game of paintball lasts maybe 10 in an arena plus the cost of paint.  lazer tag can last for 40 minutes and you only need batteries.

depending on the brand the guns will suck.  the reason its played indoors is because its cool and because sunlight reduces the range.  fog just makes it better.  some of the lower end stuff has the lock on and hit conf plus a warning when an enemy is nearby.

back when i played (last summer) ebay had quite a bit of the photon, wow, and quazer equip for sale.  if anyone does have wow gear you can use the ltto drones with them just either make sure yours is a newer model or if it isnt apply the self hit fix since the earlier models would hurt themselves.

I totally remember Photon!! That was bad-ass fun for us!  Expensive for sure.
I remember the trick was to lean back really far so the beams would ricochet of your chest plate instead of hitting the sensors.

Didn't Tom Hanks play with one in the movie Big?

Man!  Thanks for the memories horseboy.  Kudos to the creators, even if it didn't last.
