MOBO and minimum 600 watt power supply
squirrellydw:
So I just got my MOBO today and it says for a fully configured system I should have a minimum 600 watt power supply. I have a 430 watt, you think it will be ok? :dunno I will have
1 - avga pci-e
1 - ipac 4 USB
3 - ledwiz USB
4 - u360 USB
1- trackball USB
2 - spinners USB
what do you think? :dunno
edge:
I think you are fine with the 430watt psu. you usually need more if you have multiple video cards, multiple hard drives, multiple cpus, etc. A bunch of USB devices won't force you to need more than 430watts.

What they mean is for a system, probably, running a raid aray with four hard drives, two DVD drives and floppy connected and a whopping great high power dual video card setup.
430Watts is more than enough for the average PC.

P.S. the edge beat me to that answer by seconds there.... LOL :laugh2: I must type faster...

lol...
630 watts. Thats insane. I use a 600 watt power supply for a machine with 7 sata drives, 1 floppy and 1 optical.
A machine like that would be fine with a 250 watt psu.
