This thread should be made sticky! Nice writeup of this hack. I have a couple questions about this hack in particular and XBox 360 games on arcade controls in general. First of all, I don't own a 360, but I am in the final stages of building my cab and I am trying to wire it so I can easily connect it to a hacked controller like this if I wanted to drop a 360 in there. Most importantly for now, I want to decide if I should add a 7th/8th buttons to my CP if all the XBox buttons are hacked. So here's my questions: 1. I am confused about the hacking of the RB/LB analog buttons. So if these are analog, how would you use these connected to arcade buttons? Would activating this button be equal to pressing the analog button down by 100%? Are there games this would be useful on? 2. What XBox 360 games would be usable on an arcade CP? I can see that all the XBLA games would be good, as I assume they only use the digital buttons and sticks. What other 360 games can be played well without the use of the analog sticks? Any of the more recent / advanced fighters and such? Thanks for the info! Rob |
