How would you wire this?

Lew, I like the decal idea, but these are the 24mm buttons, so Mike's decals would not fit. I'm curious why you'd have the 2nd white button as a 2 player start. Primarily, this will be a one player cab, so wouldn't it be more useful to have that one mapped as a coin button? I could shift a 2p start for the times when that's needed.

As for the double-wiring, are there any drawbacks? It seems if I just make sure no emulator uses mouse buttons, then they'd only kick in when in Windows. Seems like it'd work.

Thanks!

Thats the beauty of his decals - you can order smaller ones. Or - you could have them made yourself.

I just like being able to do a 2 player game - hotseat style. It's sitting up there just looking like it should be a player 2 button.

I don't think there is any issues with double wiring - seems like it would work to me too.

Remember pacman, p1 and p2, but only one person at a time.  Unless U don't intend on a 2nd player at all, adding a p2 looks good.  Hiding that in a shift command make thing a bit confusing for gameplay function, but that could just be me.

Yeah, I suppose for some games that's true, but I was thinking it would be more confusing for 1player games to always have the coin button shifted.

oh... coin up. I forgot about that. Yeah - a dedicated coin up button is a good idea. Player 1, player 1 coin. shift functions for everything else.  :)
