Don't worry, be happy: the sawboard actually works better! The nice thing about the sawboard is that the edge of the board indicates exactly where the saw blade will cut. With a guide rail, there's too much math involved since you have to subtract the distance from the edge of the saw's base to the blade when deciding where to place the rail. Do the math wrong, or forget, and you ruin some expensive lumber pretty quickly. DAMHIKT.
